I remember the first time I tasted Iced Tea mixed with lemonade, aka an “Arnold Palmer”. That memory is etched in my mind. I knew from the moment my lips touched the rim of that glass that would be my go-to beverage. This phenomenon happened while dining in Las Vegas. It was so blazing hot and humid that I just wanted something to quench my thirst.
You just can’t beat the combination. Or so I thought.
Move over Arnold Palmer. This Mango Lemonade Iced Tea has just moved to the number one spot.
- 4 cups water
- 1 Family size Lipton Tea bag or 4 regular sized bags
- 1 cup Santa Cruz Brand Organic Mango Lemonade
- Lemons for garnish
- sugar for the rim
- honey
- water
- Boil 4 cups of water
- Add the tea bags and steep for 5 minutes
- Remove the bags and discard
- Place the hot tea in the fridge
- When it cools add 1 cup of mango lemonade
- For the sugar rimmed glasses; pour some sugar onto a flat plate
- Cover the rim of the glass in some honey diluted with water
- Dip the rim into the sugared plate and rotate until the rim is covered in sugar
- Pour lemonade iced tea into ice filled glass
- Serve with a lemon slice
The sugar rimmed glass and the tart and tangy taste just bursts with sweetness.
And of course, my version is only 1 PP for the entire 9 cups. ONE PP, people. Go make it while it’s hot and sunny outside.
Make this your thirst quencher on a hot and humid day.
Oh and trust me on this one, don’t use a straw. Let your lips take in all that sweet sugar around the rim. You will thank me later.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
